The basics:
You must be 18 or older.
You should be an intermediate or better level skier or snowboarder.
You should be motivated by helping people enjoy the mountain.
The commitment:
You must be available to volunteer one scheduled weeknight each week (Monday-Friday, 5:30pm-9:30pm (approximately); and
You must be available to volunteer one shift on each Saturday or Sunday (morning, mid-day, night) for the ski season.
There is a financial commitment to purchase an SAT jacket. The cost is for 5-years. If you volunteer for only one year, and return the jacket in good condition, you will be refunded 80% of the initial cost.

SATs in good standing enjoy the benefits of a personal seasons pass.
Additionally, each time you complete a scheduled shift (twice per week), you receive an extended lift voucher (each voucher can be redeemed by family or friends for an all-day pass); and
For each time you complete a scheduled shift you also receive a meal voucher.

If you aspire to the National Ski Patrol, the SAT program is the perfect way to learn about Patrol.
The SAT program is a great way to learn everything about a ski resort.
Be present at terrific Montage events including Presidents Day and Mountainfest!

What do we do?
Each shift has one or more assignments that are typically scheduled for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Examples:
Dispatch: Being available at the top of the mountain to respond to calls.
Bunny Hill: Monitoring the beginner slope to ensure the safety of customers.
Ask Me: Answering customer questions at the resort entrance.
SATs help Patrol as requested.
SATs assist with the process of opening and closing the mountain.
And the best part?: During unassigned time, SATs are encouraged to ski and snowboard the mountain.
